The Christ Church Parish Brotherhood is sending out an urgent appeal to all members of Christ Church for assistance at the Annual Urbanna Oyster Festival. We urgently need volunteers to assist with the many tasks associated with the Oyster festival, including load out, site preparation, cooking, order taking, etc. The Oyster Festival begins on Friday November 3rd from 9 AM – 6 PM and continues Saturday November 4th from 9 AM and closing at 5 PM. In order to make this year’s Oyster Festival a success, The Brotherhood is requesting all able-bodied Parishioners and family members to sign up on the sign-up sheets located on the bulletin board in the hallway near the office. This year we desperately require assistance as we have lost a few valuable team members due to circumstances beyond our control. Whether you can work full shifts, half shifts or a few hours each day, your assistance will be very much appreciated.
The Brotherhood will be having our monthly meeting on September 10th to discuss Oyster Festival planning and manpower as well as to get a feeling of the number of volunteers we may have. Please come to this meeting and encourage any Brotherhood members who may not have been in church recently to attend this important meeting of the Brotherhood.
